It has been a long time since I updated the blog properly. I’ve after all, just been coming the other side of my third bout of PPD / PPA
In so many ways personal finance and social media has changed for the worse. Some bad actors, especially like Budget Dog, are charging over $5,000 for coaching – for WHAT?! It’s shocking that people are now being duped into believing that just because you have a very large following, that you are incredibly legitimate. They are the main reason I still remain online – because let’s fight some of the bad with some good.
The Thanksgiving Giveaway is special to me in so many ways.
- Wealth truly comes from a heart of gratitude. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite non-religious holidays because it is less about consumerism and more about appreciating what truly matters at the end of the day – relationships
- I do believe that every person should have a chance at a filling and meaningful meal, no matter the size of their family
- I’ve learned so much this year working with many families pro bono – for free – and I think that there is truly a space for pro bono coaching in my work going forward, now that I have figured out what works.
How the giveaway works
- Enter the giveaway form at this link, it will send you instructions to enter the 6 days of my signature No Spend Challenge
- Over the course of 6 days, try out any of my recommended techniques for lowering your impulsive spending, or none at all. It’s completely up to you!
- If you decide to try to No Spend, you’ll be emailed 6 times (so at the end of each day from when you sign up) to enter your thoughts in an online form
- Even after the 6 days, you can still enter the form as long as it’s before closing time
- Entries will be actively taken until 11:59PM Hawaii time, Tuesday November 24, 2026
- On Wednesday November 25, I will announce winners randomly drawn from the entries, including:
- At minimum, 5 winners get a free 30-minute coaching call (by phone) with me, or by Zoom if international
- 2 winners get their Thanksgiving meal groceries paid for via a gift card, limit is $500 USD per winner. It would just be food, no alcohol. Actual receipts would be needed. US only
- 10 winners get to select their favorite US-based non-profits to receive a $100 donation
